In the context of the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels, the side event “Chile: Current Hydrogen Projects and Business Opportunities” took place on Tuesday 21 November.
The first secretary of the Embassy of Chile in Belgium, Fernando Cabezas, opened the event with a greeting. Then, Rodrigo Vasquez, national coordinator of the TeamEurope Renewable Hydrogen Development Project (RH2) in Chile, presented the objectives of this initiative that seeks to promote the hydrogen industry.
Several private initiatives were highlighted, such as Soventix’s SAC project for the production of ammonia in Antofagasta, supported by the #H2uppp Programme of GIZ. FRV showcased its projects in Atacama, Tarapacá and Antofagasta to produce hydrogen and ammonia. AustriaEnergy talked about its projects in Magallanes to produce renewable hydrogen and ammonia.
This event is part of the RH2 Project, co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
