Santiago, May 5th, 2025  

The Steering Committee of the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) for the Development of Renewable Hydrogen in Chile held a key meeting last Monday, May 5, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM (Chilean time). The primary objective of this gathering was to review progress and plan the next steps for this significant international collaboration.  

The meeting agenda covered various crucial points, starting with welcome remarks and a general update on the TEI’s status by the European Union. Following the approval of the agenda and review of the previous meeting’s minutes, Chile’s Ministry of Energy presented its latest advancements in the field.  

The agenda also included detailed updates on the work of GIZ and AECID, highlighting their progress and planned future actions within the initiative’s framework. The session concluded with a productive exchange of views among all participants, with final remarks delivered by both the Ministry of Energy and the European Union representatives.  

This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of the Team Europe Initiative and its Chilean partners to accelerate the development of renewable hydrogen, a fundamental pillar for Chile’s energy transition and decarbonization efforts.
