Hyvolution Chile 2024 closed its doors with a resounding success, consolidating its position as one of the most important events on green hydrogen in Latin America.

The second edition of Hyvolution was attended by President Gabriel Boric, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the energy transition and the development of green hydrogen as a fundamental pillar to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

The meeting brought together the main players in the industry, from multinational companies to startups, showing the progress and challenges of the sector. The presence of international exhibitors and the Grand Prix H2, a competition of scale cars powered by hydrogen, highlighted the innovative character and potential of this technology.

In parallel, the European Union reaffirmed its commitment to the development of green hydrogen in Chile. Andrea Nicolaj, Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the EU Delegation in Chile, highlighted during the event the importance of collaboration between the two blocs in the panel “How the world is positioning itself to buy green hydrogen from Chile”.

The EU aims to import 10 million tons of green hydrogen by 2030 and Chile, with its abundant renewable resources, is positioned as a strategic partner to achieve this goal.

In addition, the EU Delegation in Chile organized a side event that brought together key actors from both blocs to foster networking and identify opportunities for collaboration.
