A delegation from GIZ, the Chilean Ministry of Energy and Corfo travelled to Spain the week of 4 March to participate in the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) 2024 in Bilbao. At a side event, they presented public policy and international cooperation efforts to foster the green hydrogen industry in Chile.

The event was attended by Gabriel Guggisberg, Bárbara Eguiguren from the Ministry of Energy, Ana María Ruz from Corfo and Pablo Tello from GIZ, together with representatives from companies such as FRV and Southern Lights. In addition, they visited the hydrogen laboratory at Tecnalia and the laboratories of the University of the Basque Country, including a 2.5 MW electrolyser at Petronor and the mobile refuelling station at Calvera.

This activity was part of the Team Europe project for the Development of Renewable Hydrogen in Chile (RH2).
